Pocketa is an Alfazin Technologies product for personal bookkeeping.
Accounts, currencies, categories, transactions, budgets and settings are stored locally. This version has no registration, advertising, analytics or automatic cloud synchronization. Pocketa does not send these records to our servers.
With your affirmative consent and Android permission, Pocketa can read notification text from apps you select, including while Pocketa is closed, to suggest income and expenses. Android grants broad listener access; the app filters by your selected apps. Notification contents can contain sensitive financial information. Processing and pending suggestions stay on your device. You review and confirm each entry; no money is moved.
The pending queue is capped at 100. Items older than seven days are removed when the inbox is read or a new event is processed. Up to 1,000 notification hashes support duplicate detection. A filter excludes common English OTP messages, but is not a guarantee against every sensitive message. Choose only appropriate apps. You can revoke access in Android settings. Disabling suggestions clears pending items. Manual bookkeeping works without this permission.
Optional app lock uses Android phone authentication. Pocketa does not store your phone PIN or biometric templates. App lock protects access through the app interface; it does not encrypt the database.
JSON backups and CSV exports are unencrypted. You choose whether to copy or share them and must store them safely. Device-specific notification and lock preferences are not included in financial backups. Restoring replaces financial records. Records stay until you delete them, clear app storage or uninstall. Exported copies must be deleted separately.
You can manage and delete entries in the app, disable optional features and clear all app storage through Android settings. Android/device services have their own policies. There is no online Pocketa account to delete.
We may update this policy as Pocketa changes. Updates will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
